Getting to Orcas Island

You can fly into SeaTac airport (SEA) and then take a commuter plane to Orcas Island with Kenmore Air,  which is recommended.  It saves time and a lot of hassle. You will need to check Kenmore Air's schedule, but there is a 8:10am flight (leaving SeaTac) and a 10:40am flight (leaving SeaTac).  You can also fly into SeaTac airport (SEA) and rent a car, drive to Anacortes, WA, catch the Ferry to Orcas Island (YOU WILL NEED A RESERVATION OR YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET ON THE FERRY.) Anacortes is about 95 miles from the SeaTac airport and it will take between 2-4 hours to get to Anacortes, depending on traffic. From there, you take the Anacortes to San Juan Islands (to Orcas Island) Ferry.  You must make reservations well in advance for this Ferry trip.  We are happy to try to connect people that may want to carpool or travel together.  You might also want to arrive in Seattle or Orcas Island a day early to explore.  As part of the retreat fee, three nights of lodging (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) is provided.  Please see the  "What's Included" page.  If you want to arrive earlier or extend, you are responsible for your own accommodations.  Please email me your travel plans so if someone needs to pick you up at the Orcas Island airport we are happy to do that.

We plan on starting the retreat at 4pm on Friday, September 22nd and finishing at 11am on Sunday, September 25th.  Please see the Schedule.
